Maybe we are just making this question a little more complicated than it really is. If we just look at what The Lord has given us, then it becomes clear what He intended for us to do with our lives!

     Now even if you don't believe in God, that's all right, for now, we all need to know the answer to this all important question, and I believe that once you start living your live the way it was intended, you will, sooner or later, realized the Truth.

     Now, we will all agree that The Lord gave us a Free Will, even if you choose to all it " Mother Nature" or " Evolution" etc., but we'll all agree that we all have a Free Will. Now this is just one of the many gifts that God has given us. Of course, He has given us many gifts to help us get through this world, one other gift would be our conscience. Even if you just want to call it our ability to reason and think out our problems and decide( with our Free Will) what we should do.

     You see, we all have this basic need to always think we are doing " The Right Thing," thanks to our conscience! That's why most of us always get these good, warm feelings when we do something very good!

     Now I'm sure you'll agree that the Free Will and the Conscience are a Fact! I'm not asking you to believe in anything by Faith, just talking about pure facts, right? The fact that we have them means we should use them, right? And, in fact, we do, all the time!

     Now a Free Will was something we were all born with, no man or book gave or taught us a Free Will. For example, if you go back in the old days, when there were slaves, a person that was born a slave and taught all their lives to be a slave, still knew they had a free will, as evident by all the run away slaves through out history. Even if they chose to stay with their masters, it was there choice. No man gave you a free will or no man can take it away! The same will apply to our conscience, it's just our ability to reason out what we should do! And that need, we all seen to have, to do the Right Thing! Now, you might think that we were taught to have a conscience, and of course, your parents and other people around you, your environment, would have an influence on what you think, your opinion, etc.. But you were born with the ability to reason out what's right or wrong.

     Now, if we look at the question " What Is the Purpose Of Live?" and bring it down to the most simple of terms, we can figure out what we are suppose to do with our lives, by looking at the abilities we are naturally born with ( which are all gifts from God!) We were born with the ability to Love, therefore, we are suppose to Love, we were born with the ability to multiply, therefore, we should multiply, etc.. Of course, we have to use our free will and our conscience to decide how to best use our abilities and to make sure we always do the right thing! We only need to look around this world to see what our most important abilities are! Think what a different live we all would have if we all started to practice, in all of our walks of life, every decision we make, no matter how big or how small or trivial we might think it to be, to always do the right thing!!

     Think about it! Think what a world we could live in. You would be able to trust everyone, and everyone could trust you. Everyone would do an honest days work for an honest wage. No one to cheat you, or steal from you, or harm you in anyway! You would never have to fear for your children again! This is what God intended you to strive for!

     Of course, we are not God, therefore, no matter how hard we strive to live this way and even if we devotes our lives to spreading this message, we'll never gets all the people in this world to live like this, even though they already know they should.

     Now, this brings up the point; why should I even try to live like this, if it's not going to change the world? First thing, if we keep thinking like that, we'll never see a change for the better. Second thing, we weren't born with a ability or knowledge to let us know we were ever suppose to go out and change the whole world, remember, we're just sticking to the facts that we know are to be true. And the facts tell me, I'm the one who is suppose to live always doing what is right! So you aren't going to the able to go out and change the world because you aren't suppose to. But I guarantee you, it will change your life and the lives of the people around you! Not over night and it sure won't be easy. We all must work hard to keep strong this attitude. And its not going to be easy. We all have this way of talking ourselves into thinking most things are just to unimportant to worry about. So it's not easy to learn to recognize this.

     But you know that old saying, "Practice Makes Perfect!" Well, we're just humans so we'll never be perfect, but that old saying is very truthful. The more we practice our conscience, the better we'll get at it! You know we make hundreds of decisions every day and most of them we think are to unimportant to give much thought about, we think they are just to trivial to worry about. But I'll tell you, there is nothing to trivial not to worry about, in fact, I believe, the unimportant things are really more important and you think! You see, the real big important things are usually easier for most of us to see. But most of the small, trivial decisions that we make every day have become so automatic that we no longer listen to our conscience, we just do them. This could be hurting us and the people around you. You need to start listening to your conscience again.

     Another thing we have a tendency to do, an it's because we all have this need to feel like we are basically good people and try to do the right thing, and that is, we much to often talk ourselves in to thinking it's " O K" to do these things. When ever you find yourself going over several reasons why it's" O K" to do something, that should be a red flag for you to stop and really think about what you are doing! Just maybe it is something that you should do! But maybe it's something that you are just trying to convince yourself it's" O K" to do.

     So you can see how one can easily talk oneself into the fact that it's alright for one to drive like this. But, one day while I was driving, I noticed I was looking into my mirror quite frequently! So, I was lucky enough to realize what I was doing. Now, think about this, what are you doing when you're looking in your mirror when you are speeding. Of course, you are trying to see that police car before he sees you. If you do, then you can quickly slow down, making him think that you were not speeding in the first place. Of course, that means only one thing, that you are trying to deceive the police! Now I never thought of myself as a person that would ever go around deceiving people! So I made a commitment to myself ( and God) to practice my conscience more. When I did, I realized I was also breaking the law, which is also wrong, no matter how many good reasons I can come up with! No matter if I agree or not with a law, it's still wrong to break it.

     So you see God did put into all of us the need to feel like we are doing the right thing, but, be very careful about this, because as humans, we can very easily talk ourselves into thinking that what we are doing is always right! So the more we think about what we are doing, the more we practice with our conscience, the better we will get at it! The worst thing we can do, is to think it's to trivial to matter or everybody does it, so it's OK to do!

     Now, I don't believe God ever asked very much from us. You can take all the lists that all religions have ever made, telling us what God wants us to do or not to do and they would simply come out to be: Do The Right Things or not do the Wrong Things! Thou shall not kill! We all know that this is simply the wrong thing to do! Honor thy mother and father! Simply the right thing to do! So if we all just stop making everything so complicated, then we can just start living the way God intended for us to!

     You see, everything God gave us, and He gave us everything, is good. He intended for us to use everything, but because we are humans, we are the only ones that can take something good and turn it around into something bad! That's why it's so important to keep up our practice with our conscience.

     How do you think most people get on death row? How do you think most people get to the point where they know longer care about anyone except themselves and some don't even care about themselves any longer! That's when people will steal, cheat or hurt you for little or no reason! How do you think get that way? Well, I'll tell you. They didn't get that way over night. Most started out just like you and me. Thinking they were basically good people. They also had the need to feel like they were always doing the right things! But, they had a few things they thought were unimportant or to trivial to matter. So with less practice for their conscience it was easy for them to talk themselves into thinking the little things they were doing wrong was really right. Just like we do sometimes. But, if we don't correct ourselves, then it becomes easier to go one step further. The further they went, the easier it gets! If you talk to most of these people in our prisons today, they would tell you the only thing wrong that they did was get caught! And they believe that! Because there is a point where you can be lost, in this world!

     You see, we have to be very careful to practice our conscience enough, because if we don't, we just might reach a point in our lives where everything we do seems OK to do or we just don't care anymore, even if it is wrong! Then we are going to be lost in this world! Now, some people even think they like living like this but, it's really like living in Hell! You need to give this some serious thought, people!

     So, you see how important the really small, unimportant and trivial matters really are! Almost no one does the really big wrong things without first going through a series of really small wrong things!

     You see, we're not lost yet, because we can still see all of the really important right and wrong things! But, I will tell you this, if you ever let yourself do any trivial things, just because you think it doesn't matter or find yourself talking yourself into thinking these things are OK just to make yourself feel better, then you better be very careful! Think about how long you've already been doing these things. If you think you won't go to the next step, then think about all the people that are in prison today, or worse yet, all the people who should be, but are not!

     God gave you a Free Will and a Conscience and all you have to do is choose to use what God has given you! We all must realize the importance of this! Nothing is to small or trivial. We must not get discouraged when so many other people seem to get by easier in this world without having to do this! That is only an illusion because these rewards are only short term rewards.

     If you really try to live this way, to the best of your abilities, then sooner or later, the people around you will soon see you as a shining star in this world of dark clouds! If you are a businessman, more people will want to do business with you! If you work for someone else, they will like and depend on you more and more, therefore you will go further! If you are a parent, your children will want to become more like you, instead of wanting to be less like you and wanting to go off, in this world, on their own, like most children of this world today!

     The more you practice this, the better you will get at this! It won't be easy, as a matter of fact, the hardest thing will be to make the first commitment to really live your life, all walks of your life, no matter how unimportant or trivial it may seem, but to make every decision in your life, be the Right Thing to Do!

     In the end, it will make a big difference in your life and it will make a big difference in the lives of the people around you, even if it takes a long time to see this, it will be worth it! The only way you can make a big difference in this world is to start with You! You will be surprised to see how many lives you can affect by changing yours!

     So, as you can see, man sometimes just gets a little to intelligent for our own good. If we just simplify everything, then we can begin to see the real Purpose Of Life! And that is just to Do The Right Thing, in all of our walks of life, no matter how big or trivial our decisions are, That is the Purpose Of Life!
